Michigan State University

Hello fellow Spartan fans!

No matter who you are, at Michigan State, we are all on the same team. Before getting ready to pack Sparty Stadium, you should make sure to capture some photos along the way. Whether you are freshman or senior, you only have so much time to be a college student. Why not take some pictures to capture those memories. When you look back, you will be able to remember all those great times you had with your friends and family. So let’s get into it!

#1 — Team Colors

Don’t be that person who goes to the game and wears the complete opposite colors. Go out and support your team whether that is wearing a shirt that matches the home or away colors or even a jersey.

The jersey doesn’t necessarily need to be football. It could be basketball, hockey, or any other sport the university may have. When you are a Michigan State Spartan, you are not just an individual, you are part of a family. Everyone is wearing the same colors to support one cause and that is to win, especially at Sparty Stadium. Don’t be afraid to jump into group photos when you don’t know someone. From my experience, anyone is able to hop in.

#2 — Spartan Statue

If you know you know. You have to come here to grab a photo on gamedays. Right near the stadium, you can walk right on over once you are done. If you are Spartan, you know that you need to protect the Spartan at all cost when that team from the north comes on down.

#3 — Beaumont Tower

One of the most well known buildings on campus is Beaumont Tower. Engulfed by nature, this is one of those more mythical spots. Want to feel like a king or queen? Make sure to stop here.

#4 — Tailgating

Don’t think I forgot about this one everyone. Some of the more fun and engaging pre-game events are tailgating. The best part about Michigan State is you are allowed to tailgate anywhere on campus. No restrictions.

Whether you are with family or friends, this is an opportunity to capture those memories here. As someone who went to Michigan State and graduated in 2019, I made sure that I got photos from tailgates. It was one of my favorite aspects about being a Spartan and the ability to share my excitement with my friends.

#5 — Sparty Stadium

The granddaddy of them all, Spartan Stadium. Most likely you are ending your day walking in through those gates and getting into your seats. At this point you may not have an actual camera but you have the next best thing, your phone. At this point, take some selfies with you and your friends in the crowd. Take videos of the Spartans running onto the field.

Don’t forget the golden retriever who goes out and fetches a frisbee for about 50 yards. This is at halftime. He is definitely a major crowd favorite. Don’t believe me? Go to East Lansing and find out.

Final Thoughts

Well Spartan fans, these are just a few places where you need to go in order to get your best photos for gameday. Just remember Go Green & Go White!
